Brainspotting Therapy in Tennessee
A Powerful Tool for Healing Trauma, Anxiety, and Emotional Blocks
Sometimes talk therapy can only take us so far, especially when our pain is stored in the body, outside of words.
That’s where Brainspotting comes in.
Brainspotting is a gentle but powerful therapy method that helps access and process unhealed trauma, stress, and emotional blocks by working directly with the brain and nervous system. If you've been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or like certain issues keep looping despite your best efforts, Brainspotting can help you finally move through it.

What Is Brainspotting?
Brainspotting uses eye positions (or “brainspots”) to access deep, often unconscious emotional material stored in the subcortical brain. This is the part of the brain responsible for regulation, survival responses, and trauma storage.
Through focused attention, you’ll be guided to gently connect with what’s happening in your body without having to retell the entire story or relive painful experiences. Your brain knows how to heal. Brainspotting simply helps clear the path.
What Issues Can Brainspotting Help With?
Brainspotting is especially effective for:
Trauma and PTSD
Childhood emotional neglect
Relationship and Attachment Wounds
Anxiety, Emotional Reactivity, and Nervous System Dysregulation
Chronic stress and burnout
Emotional numbness or shutdown
Performance blocks and creativity issues
Feeling “stuck” despite talk therapy
What a Brainspotting Session Looks Like?
You don’t have to prepare anything or know exactly what you want to work on. We’ll begin by identifying an emotional or physical concern. It can even be something as vague as “this tightness in my chest” or “this stuck feeling.”
Using a pointer and your eye position, we’ll locate a “brainspot” and gently stay with the experience, letting your body and brain do the healing work. I’ll guide and support you throughout, but the process is yours — your system leads the way.
Brainspotting sessions can be integrated into ongoing therapy or offered as a standalone service.
Why I Offer Brainspotting?
As a trauma-informed therapist, I’ve seen firsthand how many of our clients carry pain in ways that words can’t fully reach. Brainspotting offers a safe, embodied way to access and resolve those deeper layers.
It’s a practice I deeply believe in and one I’ve trained in, use with clients, and even benefit from personally.
