FAQS

  • Wholeness in Bloom is an online therapy practice offering psychotherapy via video or phone. Online therapy, also known as teletherapy, follows a similar format to in-person therapy but without the commute. Clients have the freedom to choose where they want to be during their session, often choosing a quiet, private, distraction free space in their home, office, car, or even local park.

  • Honestly, if you’re asking that question, the answer is probably yes. Not because something is wrong with you, but because you may be dealing with some challenges or overwhelming thoughts and feelings that you’re having a hard time managing on your own. In the end, it’s up to you to decide if counseling is the right choice for you. Having a safe and open space to talk about what you’re experiencing may be just what you need to get a step closer to resolving your issues.

  • It’s common for partners to see things differently when it comes to therapy. What matters most is your own readiness and desire for support. Therapy is most effective when you choose it for yourself not because someone else wants you to. If you’re unsure, we can use a consultation to explore what therapy could look like and see if it feels helpful to you. Even if you decide not to continue, you’ll gain clarity about what you need moving forward.

  • Getting started is easy. You’ll start with booking a free consultation. This gives us an opportunity to briefly talk about what’s bringing you to therapy. You’ll have a chance to ask questions and we’ll decide if working together will be a good fit. Ready to get started?

  • There are no major things to do to prepare. If you have notes about what you want to talk about, feel free to bring those. You can also email those to me ahead of time. Make sure are in a space where you feel comfortable and that you have privacy. Be aware, if you are in public spaces, part or all of the conversation may be heard by others. You’ll receive a video link to the session through email or text prior to the sessions start time. At the beginning of the session, we’ll do a quick check in and then move into the topic for discussion.

  • Clients are initially asked to commit to 12 weekly or bi-weekly sessions. Throughout the 12 sessions, we will explore the challenges that brought you to therapy and together focus on finding the best path towards a resolution. The final decision on how long to stay in therapy is up to you. Everyone’s circumstances are unique to them and the length of time counseling can take for you to accomplish your goals depends on your desire for personal development, your commitment, and the factors that are driving you to seek counseling in the first place. Periodically, we will discuss your progress and if continuing with therapy will be helpful for you based on where you are in your therapeutic journey. Ultimately, when it’s time to end therapy, I want you to feel confident that you are able to handle different challenges that may come your way.

  • This happens and its perfectly okay. Sometimes we won’t know until after we’ve worked together for a couple of sessions. The important thing is to communicate your experience, needs, and wants. If it’s not a good fit, we can talk about it and you are more than welcomed to end the therapeutic relationship. This is for both you as the client and me as the therapist.
